What makes you think the Reg needs "cleaning"?

You don’t clean it. If you don’t know what you’re doing or if the app you use is too aggressive you can break things. Leave it alone.

Don't do it! The Windows registry does not need cleaning, if it did then Windows would contain a tool to do it. In all the years I've been helping people troubleshoot PC problems I have never seen a problem that could be convincingly laid at the door of a redundant registry entry. I have however, seen many problems caused by overly aggressive registry cleaning.

As others have said, registry cleaning is an outdated and dangerous idea that should not be done on a modern Windows OS.

Yep. I second this. Pretty sure I broke my laptop by using ccleaner to clean my registry

Also there was a time a few years back where ccleaner was hacked and some put a virus into their program. So if that would happen again and you just happened to be a person who downloaded at that time..

That could be down to a number of things.

Try Windows PC Manager. It's a neat tool to help you manage your Windows install. It also incorporates Windows defender, Windows update, Disk cleanup, among a few other useful tools. It's nice and easy for beginners looking to keep their system running well.
