so i was tearing down my water loop to clean it and i noticed that my tubes looked a little darker. i have blue tubing i swabbed the inside of a tub with a qtip and it came out dirty. it looks like build up idk from what maybe from the loop in general. whats the best way to clean that out i let it soak in hot water with vinegar it seemed to have cleaned it a little but not all that great. any ideas??

If your tubing is vinyl I would recommend 1/8 cup of beach to a 1/2 gallon of hot water soak them for 30 minutes making sure you remove the air bubbles or you will get spots. I've done this with clear vinyl tubing haven't tried it with colored tubing or PVC tubing, so you might want to check for color fastness or oxidation.

Yup @Rubix tubings a consumable really but if you really begruge a few quid/dollars on some fresh piping, rebuild your loop in the bath and run a bleach solution through it for a couple hours, dont overdo the bleach though, a capful in a litre will do a lot of cleaning without damaging seals etc, and rinse so thoroughly you can drink from the tubing 🙂
its a huge ballache though so best option is buy new tubes 🙂

Yea i was thinking of replacing but ive only used the tubing a couple of times ive cleaned out the system 2 times before i started noticing it. I could wipe it of with a qtip. Where does that build up come from?

Ive flushed it pretty good i wanna try that mayhem blitz to clean out my rads im not really comfortable with that residue on the pipes. I'll stick to just kill coil...how long are the kill could usally good for??

monsoon says their kill coils are good for about a year but that seems like marketing hype to me.

But if you do use Mayhems Blitz, let me know how that works out. I'm having issues with my Red Dye turning purple and I'm thinking my Magicool Radiator is the culprit. If that helps you when everything else fails, I might give it a shot to finally get this sucker clean since everything I've done thus far has failed.

Killcoil should (in theory) be good as long as there is silver left on the coil. The idea is that the silver ionizes in the water causing microbial growth to slow or halt. However, copper does this exact same thing as well (PT Nuke is copper sulfate) and there is far more copper in a loop in contact with water than that little strip of silver. Silver is 'better' at this than copper, but the sheer volume of copper is multitudes greater. I'm of the belief that a killcoil is essentially snake oil for watercooling loops. A good biocide is a better choice at preventing microbial growth. It might actually be a good idea to test, to be honest...I have a couple pumps and extra rads, I could run a test like this for a while to see what happens. Might be worthwhile.

So my pump died i have no clue how. I took it apart and noticed it was clogged. I'm guessing i had some sort if crap in the system I'm going to strip everything down and do a thorough clean. Lemon juice and vinegar etc. I also noticed that my tubing fogged up. How do i solve that issue? I thought I've cleaned my system good but by the looks of it i didnt
