how to clone a windows vista boot drive to an external hard drive

I have a new 1TB external hard drive and would like to clone my windows vista system to the new drive so that it will boot . What is the best and least expensive way to do this?

Try Clonezilla. Very easy to use and free. Get it here:

Download the ISO, burn to CD. Boot from the CD and use the simple settings to step through the process. Read the prompts and answer accordingly. Pretty straight forward.
