Hi to all,
I have a really big problem!
I have a Dell Inspiron 3537 laptop with Intel 4400 graphics card and AMD Radeon 8850M graphics card. The laptop seems to be overheating, the fan is blowing out a vey hot air and is very noisy. The GPU-Z tool shows me that only the Intel 4400 HD graphic card is used and it reaches temperatures of 70 degrees Celsius,so I am afraid that something bad will happen to it and the AMD Radeon Graphics card is not being used at all!
My question is how can I completely disable the Intel graphics and use only the AMD if it is possible, and if it is not, then how can I make the AMD graphics card to be used more than the Intel?
p.s I have installed the latest drivers for the both cards!
Please help me!
Thanks to all in advance!
Best regards!

Solution
You can't disable the Intel HD 4400 graphics.
I recommend using the driver from dell website.
The reason is because the driver from dell is customized especially for your laptop graphics card.

Right click your desktop> There should be an option called "Configure Switchable Graphics"
There should be an option between "power saving"(HD 4400) and "high performance"(HD 8850M) for each application.
If you are using the new Crimson driver you need to find "Radeon Additional Settings" then you will have to find switchable graphics for the option between "power saving" or "high performance".
The game executable file .exe should be there each time...
Laptops often switch between the two, using only the processor graphics (HD 4400) when on battery power. Try this, right click on your desktop and click on the AMD Radeon settings. Somewhere there will be power options, usually they will be under the 3D graphics section, change the power settings to maximum performance.

More than likely you can't. Nvidia Optimus (switchable graphics) doesn't really switch your GPU. The Intel GPU is always driving your screen. The nvidia GPU acts as a co-processor. When you run a game or app which uses the nvidia GPU, it turns the nvidia on, and draws the 3D frame in memory. When the frame is finished, it sends it to the Intel GPU which displays it on your screen. (This means vsync is essentially always on.)

On the vast majority of laptops, there is no way to disable the Intel video. On a few, there is a BIOS option to make the nvidia GPU drive the screen. This will disable the Intel GPU (battery life will likely be substantially shorter.) But if your BIOS doesn't have this option, then the Intel GPU will always be driving the screen.

I really don't know how to manage the graphics settings in the new AMD Radeon Control Centre,so please someone help me!
And there are no more the Global OverDrive settings in the new Centre,I wished to increase the PowerControl slider,to improve the graphics card's performances!
I saw this video where there is said that with increasing of the PowerControl slider the card's performances are better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBDBJrb_PNI

I can't access the advanced settings!

Sorry, I mixed the two up because both the Nvidia and the AMD version of switchable GPU work the same way.

How do I permanently disable the integrated low-power GPU in my Switchable Graphics laptop?
Not all laptops have the option for disabling the integrated GPU. The low-power integrated graphics adapter must be disabled in the BIOS if the option is available.
