Hey guys, I have recently installed Ubuntu 16.04.1 and decided to remove it. I followed guides on YouTube but am now stuck on deleting the correct partitions.

The YouTube guide I am following

Things I've done so far:

  • ■ BCD Deployment - Installed the latest bootloader to the MBR to get rid of the grub bootloader
    ■ Edit Boot Menu - Changed to skip the boot menu so that Windows starts up automatically

Now I am up to disk management, where I need to delete the Ubuntu partitions. The problem is that I am not entirely sure which ones to delete. I'll most a screenshot of my disk management screen.

How do I know which partition/s Ubuntu is installed on?

Thanks in Advance!

I've found this software called MiniTool Partition Wizard. It tells you where Ubuntu is installed. I'm gonna go ahead and try this.

Don't bother with the partition tool, the disk manager is enough. The main partitions are the EXT4 and linux swap ones, but you also have a whole bunch of iffy other ones (odd sizes compared to what they should be).

I would recommend simply reformatting and doing a clean install, it will cause the fewest issues in the long run. Next time keep your linux experiments on livedisks or virtual machines.
