I regularly share large files between my home computer and my work laptop. I've found the fastest way to do this is through a lan ethernet connection. But for some reason lately I've been having trouble with security and permissions not letting me transfer files, although I have given each computer permission to share files. I have disabled every file sharing security lock that I can think of but still get hit with a no permission allowed error. My question is how can I unlock each hard drive to be shared from computer to computer through the lan ethernet connection. I would like to have all files on each hard drive able to be moved from computer to computer as I am not always sure exactly which file I need shared I would simply like all of them to be shared, any help is much appreciated thanks.

Solution
1. You don't really want "all files". Yes, I know that is what you said.
But you don't really need or want to access the OS system files between the two.

You really just want to share folders. Maybe a single top level folder on each, and have all your data in subfolders under that.

2. What OS is this? If Win 10, sometimes the regular updates turn OFF File and Print sharing, or change the password protected sharing options.
Look into those.

Solution

In addition you do not want to try sharing any files/folders down the "Users" tree as that is a system protected location. Create a new folder, outside the "Users" folder and share that.
