[SOLVED] How to compress multiple movie files at once.

Hi i currently have about 12-15 TBs of movies and TV shows but im really low on space. Is there a way to compress multiple files at once and still be able to watch them? All the ways i have found, you have to do each file on its own. Could i do folders at a time and still watch them or anything else? i dont want to have to do each file one at a time. The files range from 720p to Blu-ray. I have been scratching my head about this so i thought i would ask you guys.

1. You can't compress multiples into ONE archive and have them individually addressable.
2. Depending on the construction of these, you may not get a lot of compression without loss of resolution.
3. Drive space is cheap. Buy a new drive.

There are 5 TB external USB drives for $99 these days...

4 TB internals for $99... (I prefer internal drives, WD Red or HGST NAS)

Thanks guys, yeah looks like i will have to, I have no more connectors in my PC so im going to have to go External :/

You might want to look into a NAS.

What format are the movies currently in?
I free up quite a bit encoding to h.265 instead of the basic mpeg2
