hello
i would to install a LSI 9220 m1015 on a Supermicro MBD-X10SL7-F-O.
i would to know how to set up a RAID 10 after connecting 4 HDD with a Cable mini SAS 36pin to 4x SATA.

in BIOS i should switch to RAID mode (instead of AHCI or SATA), and then?

Solution
It's hard to explain without access to pictures of how it shows the menus, but the process is simple:

1. Enter the RAID card setup page (look in the documentation for the key combination required at boot)
2. Setup 2 drives as RAID 0
3. Repeat for the remaining 2 drives.
4. You'll be able to select both arrays as a separate drive each, now setup this as RAID 1.

That's about it.

When you re-boot up the PC after you set RAID for all the drives in the BIOS you will see the RAID controller menu, (the drives will be listed on the screen in green) you need to press Ctrl-I when you see this and it will bring you into the RAID configuration menu. I just did the same thing on a Supermicro X10SLL-F0, but did RAID 1.

Hi. What about The built in controller inside The motherboard i posted before?

Sorry for not specifying, since you are using an additional card for that purpose, you don't have to change anything in your BIOS settings. Changing to RAID mode in the BIOS will only set the motherboard's SATA ports as RAID, but will have no effect on the LSI card.
