How to connect 2 Monitors to a one output display laptop (Lenovo Y50-70)

Well the title says it at all. The Y50-70 I have is the GTX960m version and is capable of multiple monitors but it has only one HDMI output. Is it possible to get 2 Monitors to work separately using an splitter or connecting an adapter to a usb 3.0? Or it is a must to get an external gpu ?

I don't believe you can get a two-way display from a split connector, since it would be supplying the same screen twice, and just mirroring your current display and not a second monitor. You can at least have one other screen from your laptop, but not two.
