I've been trying various sata to usb be adapters, at first I found out I need external power source for a 3.5 HDD so I bought a new adapter with external power supply that could support it but it appears it wasn't enough since the HDD did not show up even though it was making a sound a pleasant sound as if it was running but in the end it did not show up and I think the reason is because it supports upto 5gbps. If someone can help me with this and tell me what's the problem that would be really helpful. Is it even possible or am I just wasting my time and money?
