So, I recently bought a game on steam called Rivals of Aether, and it happened to use an Xbox one controller. Good thing I was in luck and had one. I also bought a Bluetooth adapter partly for this, so I could use Bluetooth speakers and use my Xbox one controller with my PC. So I looked up a video on how to do this since I tried simply connecting the controller with the Bluetooth adapter and trying it with the game but it didn't work. So I took to the internet and it said to go to big picture mode on steam, go to the settings, go to controller settings, click Xbox one configuration support, and then connect your Xbox one controller and it should show up below. So I did this and OBVIOUSLY it did not show up below. This is the adapter I bought: https://www.amazon.com/Warranty-Avantree-Bluetooth-Wireless-Keyboard/dp/B00VWEK4IG/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1514935570&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=Bluetooth+adapter&psc=1
It even says on the amazon page it is compatible with the Xbox one S controller (mine) and it is! It connects to the adapter but doesn't show up on steam. I bet this has happened to people before, so could someone please help me with this? excuse my grammar, and thanks in advance.
Edit: I solved it! All I needed was an upgrade to Win10! So a big thanks to everyone that tried to help, its the thought that counts 😀
