[SOLVED] How to connect laptop to a portable monitor

I would like to connect a Dell inspiron 13 5000series which has USB3.0 and HDMI ports to a ASUS PORTABLE MONITOR whic has only 1 USBC port.
I tried with an adapror from USB3.0 to USBC but it did not work.
Any idea if there is any special adaptor from USB 3.0 or from HDMI to US
BC?

It's likely a power issue. Usb 3.0 is less power than usb-c. There is no adapter that would work because you can't combine power of multiple ports and all other ports provide less power. You can get a normal monitor to work through hdmi as it would get power from an outlet.

If you want to use a portable monitor, they do make some for USB 3.
