please check the above link..tats the controller and receiver I have got. The problem is I lost the receiver for that controller, so I bought another new controller with the receiver but the receiver pairs only my new controller and the old controller does not get paired. Give me a solution to use both the controllers. I use these controllers to play on my PC.

Here look at this link for the receiver. Your link is messy.

http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-US/Hardware/Controllers/Pages/XboxWirelessGamingReceiverforWindows.aspx/

It says: Use up to four Wireless Controllers and four Wireless Headsets simultaneously with one Wireless Gaming Receiver.

There is a possibility that the older controllers are not compatible.

I don't think that the controllers should have a compatibility problem with the receiver, I have connected older and newer model 360 controllers to my receiver without (many) problems. But what I can tell you is that those receivers can get stuborn sometimes!
I have found that if the controller was proviously connected to an xbox it takes a few try to get it to connect to the receiver. If you have an xbox in the range of your controller unplug the xbox while you are trying to connect.

I don't have an xbox 360, I just bought those wireless controllers to play in my PC, but I already had the receiver, it came along with the wireless controller... I bought another new controller with the receiver just because I lost the receiver I had earlier, now the new controller and receiver gets paired and works fine in my pc, but im not able to pair my old xbox 360 wireless controller with the new receiver....how do I pair both the controllers to my pc...both the controllers are xbox 360 controllers for windows.

I looked around at MS Support but by the looks of it they have removed any information regading the Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows!!! I didn't find a thing they don't even have a driver avaiable!! Any links to forum posts were also dead.
It really seems odd that this is happening though, usually MS hardware works well.
I will try it out at home today and post my results later today or tomorrow.

are you pressing the sync button on both the remote and the reciever? press and hold the button on the reciever and the remote. if thats not the problem then mabe you installed the wrong driver. go to device manager and find your reciever and right click it and press update driver. then click browse my computer for driver software then press let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer scroll down to microsoft common controller for windows class, select it, then press next. then select xbox 360 wireless receiver for windows and press next and press yes and then press close and sync your controllers and they should both sync to your reciever. I hope this helps

Please try:
1. Plug in the gaming receiver to a USB port on your computer
2. Use the "Install Automatically" option if the Add New Hardware wizard pops up
3. Download the XBOX wireless controller software
4. Once installed, turn on the controller by pressing the middle 'X' button
5. Press the connect button on the receiver (the light flashes green)
6. Press the connect button on the wireless controller (pictured below).

Your Xbox wireless controller should now be connected to your machine. Repeat steps 4-6 for each additional controller.
If your receiver is broken, Recommend got it from http://www.zeromartz.com/xbox-360-wireless-gaming-receiver-for-windows-p-781.html
