Question How to connect my cpu on mb

Hey, so I don’t know how to connect my cpu socket on my mb. I have Msi z390 Tomohawk and Corsair cx850m power supply. What confuzed me is that it has 8+4 pin cpu connector.

Hi, Try connecting only the 8 pin one, see if working.

I think I could help if you provided me some more detail. If you could post your full build specs, that would help a lot. Also, are you having trouble connecting your PSU to you MB, or are you having issues installing the CPU to the actual MB?

Well I have i7-9700k, 16gb ddr4 3000mhz ram and rtx 2080 gpu. Everything is ok with connecting motherboard. So Bacically my problem is that i don’t know how to connect cpu socket to psu. (Port in top left corner next to io shield)

Find appropriate 8 pin and a 4pin cables coming from power supply and plug them in the MB connectors. They are made so they can fit in only one place and only one way.

That’s the problem i have only one 8 pin cpu connector coming from my psu.
