isp has given me a ppp adapter(its a wimax connection) which connects to the computer. Im having a username password which I have to use to connect to internet.
Now I got a router (ZTE w300) which has a line and 4 lan ports. The PPP adapter is RJ45. So cannot connect to line (RJ11) of ZTE.
I have heard LAN - LAN connection is possible.
I need a working wifi connection at my house, possibly with wired connection to computer.
Is this possible?

please help.

Wimax connect to my computer through a PPP adapter. PPP adapter has 2 RJ45 ports + power socket. 1 RJ45 port connects a cable from an antenna/wimax thing? outside my house to the adapter, while the other RJ45 connects to the computer.
This is the normal setup. I cannot login to the adapter via browser. ISP has given me a username and password which I should use from my computer to connect to internet.
At this normal setup my ip (of PPPoe) is something like 123.231.X.X, subnet 255.255.255.255, Default gateway 0.0.0.0 (my internet works fine)
DHCP disabled

The PPP adapter seems to be a generic one, I mean it has no make. Just says universal indoor unit AC power adapter. Model - 0334B5555 (weird I know)

I did try this before but it didn't work. I did enter the ISP details to the relevant router configuration area (PPPoe , Username, Password)
and also I deleted the connection in my computer which I need to enter the said username password, to connect to the internet usually.

Is that i a problem when trying to make my router an AP?

Sorry if this is a total noob question, but can you tell me why none of the LAN ports can be configured as a WAN port?

and thought in wimax connections DHCP is on server and one ip is handed to the each connected to that server? My ip does change

ah.. Thank you for your kind help
