And how do i connect my speakers to the PS3?

Back in the days I had the same problem but its actually kinda easy to fix it. You gonna need a couple of adapters and cables but they cost around a couple of dollars, euros or whatever currency you use so it's not a big invsetment. My monitor had only VGA and DVI ports back then but im pretty sure it works with HDMI as well.

It's been a while but if I remember correctly I used an HDMI - DVI cable for video and used the standard RGB cable (red-white cables only, yellow is for audio) with a 3.5mm Stereo Jack to 2 RCA jack splitter adapter then just plugged in my standard Genius desktop speakers to it via 3.5mm Jack and it was almost done. After this turn on the PS3 (there wont be any sound yet), go to:

Sound settings -> Audio Output settings and select Audio input connector/ SCART/ AV Multi
Make sure your video output is selected as HDMI and Audio is on SCART/ AV Multi and it should work flawlessly.

Hey everyone thanks all of you who answered but i managed to solve it by plugging in a speaker with a male jacket and with a male usb the jacket goes in to the monitor while i put the usb into the ps3 and i have audio now.

Yeah, the USB provides power to the speakers.
