Ok so ive searched high and low for a clear answer but cant seem to find the exact info i need, hopefully you guys can answer my easy question
😀 (my first build so im noobish).

Im using the Aqua Computer Laing D5 Pump with Tachosignal and it has a 4 pin molex cable coming from it, what is the best or safest way to connect this to my PSU or Mobo etc?

Im using Seasonic P Series 1000w '80 Plus Platinum' Modular Power Supply and the only cable i have is a dual 4pin molex to 6pin pcie like this.

It fits perfectly fine into my PSU using the IDE/sata section, see here but is it correct?

I cant test out the pump etc as i havnt built my loop yet, and id rather not burn anything out or worse, and tbh if i could remove the 4pin molex connector on the pump and replace with something else that would be even better!

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Advice is always appreciated here :)

Cheers all,
Carl

I think after all this ive been using the correct connector

I think its known as 4pin peripheral cable, the pcie cables are clearly marked, plus these are the only cables i have with molex connection.

So just to confirm this is the correct cable?

Thanks for the help, better to be safe than sorry :)

But i guess this belongs in a Simple Questions - Simple Answers thread more than anything.

Cheers.

Thats fine mate, Sometimes the naming conventions can be strange and its better to ask.
