Hello!
First of all, im not 100% sure im in the right place to ask this sort of question, but here it does
So, i bought an XFX 750w modular power supply a couple of days ago for my PC, and i have a problem
I have been offered a couple of red and white led strip's and i would like to connect them to my PSU
Problem is, how?
I have been told that, if i connect the led strip's to the usual 4 pin connector (yellow and black wires) they will work, but i have also been told that if i connect the led strips which needs 6 amps (i think, not sure) to a power supply that gives away less than that, the power supply may be damaged in time, and maybe it could damage my other stuff
I would like an honest opinion please, and some advises
I appreciate any help, thank you

Solution
In my opinion it would not be a problem since graphics card (which require more power) is also connected to the same power supply,as far as I know power supply have highest current capability on the 12V rail,so even 5A for the LED strip wouldn't cause any problem

But wont that AMP problem destroy my PSU in time?

i have some led strip connected like that in my pc right now , i also have the same config on my old pc it's been running for 4 yrs now,no problems at all

And how many amp's does your's need?
Mine are about 5 to 6 as far as i've seen, but i guess if i use a meter or so, and the strip has 5 meters, then it'l be around 1 to 2 amps
