It's my first build and I'm on the last step, but I ran into a rookie problem. I have two 6+2 pin cables coming from my psu, but on my graphics card, I have a 6pin inlet and an 8 pin inlet, so I connected one cable to the 6pin, and left the +2 part dangling. Is that ok to do? Also, how do I connect the other 6+2pin into the 8pin inlet? Just plug in the 6 then the 2? the +2 pin shapes don't look like they line up properly, or I'm just blind.

Solution
Yes, use the 6 pin part of the 6+2 pin cable for the 6 pin header, and put the 6+2 pin together to form the 8 pin connector for the 8 pin header. If you put them together correctly, they will match up with the keyed header.
