Trying to re-install Win7 from DVD after a clean install of Win10 resulted in no activation. Using a MSI Z97 Mobo, earlier converted to UEFI. SSD is EFI'd, but the installation disk says, "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT partition style." I've tried using a USB bridge to format the SSD, and disk management to unpartition it, but no luck. When I try to use the DVD to repair the PC, message says, "This version of System recovery options is not compatible with the version os Windows you are trying to repair." I have also created a repair disk. BUT...there is NO version of Windows on the machine...so? Also tried the Samsung magician, but all options needed are greyed out. All this due to an upgrade to Win10, and an incessant error message of "USB Device not recognized..."
Sorry, I just realized I could delete the partitions in the install window... Windows is expanding files even now. YES!!!!!
