How To Create A Second User Account In Windows 10

Creating a second user account in your PC gives various benefits. You can segregate your usage and also can use it as a guest account. Creating a second user account in Windows 10 is absolutely easy. The following steps will help you perform this task.

Step 1
Click on the ’Windows’ button located at the bottom left corner of your screen. This will open the Windows start menu.

Step 2
In the Start menu search for the tab titled ’Settings'. Click on this tab.

Step 3
Find the option titled ‘Accounts' and click on it. This will open the user account settings page.

Step 4
In the open page, now click on the 'Family and other people' tab on the left side of the page.

Step 5
Now you will be able to view the users that already exist. At the bottom of the page there will be an option titled 'Add someone else to this PC’, click on it.

Step 6
In the open dialog box, now click on the option titled 'I don’t have this person’s sign-in information'.

Step 7

In this dialog box select the option titled 'Add a user without a Microsoft account'. Click next.

Step 8
Enter a ‘username’ and the ‘password’ twice for the user, along with a hint for the password. Finish by clicking ’Next’ and a new user account will be created.

This will successfully create an additional user account. Now go back and open your start menu, click on the user icon, then select the new username account you have created. This will allow you to log in with the other user account.
