Hi guys, I have just bought an used laptop from Germany, it's : ASUS X70ABseries and I think that its overclocked by owner before me. WHY?
CPU and motherboard temperature goes up from 60 to 80c, and my battery wont last more than one hour maximum. CPU is Athlon 64 QL65 I have already tried AMD's software for overclocking to put it down but it didnt recognize my CPU... dont know why!

CPU was made in 2007. the battery issue may just be age (12yrs old maybe).
remove power cord, and battery. research how to reset the BIOS or remove the BIOS battery. resetting the BIOS to defaults will set it to defaults and remove the OC should one exist.
again old CPU, old Battery, old Architecture (very inefficient by today's standards)

the ASUS X70AB show shipping with a Turion CPU.
