How to decrypt Files without an exported efs certifcate?

I thought i decrypted my hdd files before i removed the hdds from the system. I attempted to copy over the data to a new hd by using the old hdds as an external drive but it looks like the files were still encrypted. I have the old hdd and I never formatted it. is their anyway i recover the encryption key and recover my files? I also had to export the key to another user profile in the past so that other users can edit and view the files. I can't seem to find those either.

I do not know rgd1101. I should have said i exported certificate not the key. but i can't seem to find that

If you still have the old system then put the drive back in, boot it up, and transfer the files. If you don't have the old system then you are SOL.
