I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I couldn't find a section closer.

How do you delete badges on here?
Or is there an admin reading this that can delete all my badges for me?

Thanks

Pass. I just want an admin to delete the badges for me.

Edit :- I decided to click it anyway. Blazing Saddles for the win!
But yeah, that is basically it.
I don't want or need them. I don't have things I don't want or need.

No, you can't.

Aside from the fact the badges are tied to your activity on the forum. If you don't want them don't participate. They aren't going to go change forum programming, so you don't have badges you don't want.

If you don't like it I'm sure you can feel free to delete your account.

I'm not asking anybody to change the forum codes.
I'm asking an admin to delete my badges.

Admins can't delete badges because they can't grant badges. The only thing they can do is delete the accounts of people who try to abuse the best answer system to farm badges.

I will do that then.

We can't delete badges. Even if someone got access into the backend and deleted your badges from the database, I'm pretty sure they would be re-awarded pretty quickly. Probably the next time you got a Best Answer.

Only thing I can think of is to delete all the posts that got you them, and hope the system retroactively removes them.

Badges accrue to accounts based on posting activity, and things like Best Answers awarded by others for assistance in their threads. I do not believe there is a way to remove them, and even if you zeroed-out their counters, they would begin to accrue again. I will ask, but don't believe that anything can be done.

Trust me, they can be deleted.
The only thing that makes it impossible is mod's refusing to do it.

To my knowledge, there is no way to remove your badges. It is an automatic part of the system. Technically, it's possible to remove all of your posts and reset the counters, but they would just start collecting again as you continue to post and the technical team is not going to do that for you.

I am a moderator.

I do not have credentials to the SQL (or whatever DB) servers, nor the servers which do have credentials.

I only have access to functions that have been pre-coded by developers. "Delete a badge" is not amongst those functions.

Except that you have multiple moderators telling you they can't be deleted. You also had knowledgable folks here telling you the same. And the final answer is the same as I gave you which is if you don't like how the forum works feel free to not participate.
