I have a sandisk Cruzer Glide 16G jump drive that has become write protected and filled. The drive was filled and protected when i was transferring it between 2 xboxes. There is no write protection switch. I have tried removing write protection from the drive and the files by editing the registry, editing properties of the files (There is no security tab), using the cmd prompt DISKPART. I have tried reformatting the drive in both normal and windows safe mode as well as using a 3rd party program to reformat. I have run drive wiping programs and even ran a malware scan in the hopes of something. I have found nothing that has worked and I dont know what else to do or try.

Interesting problem you did everything I would have... however here's what the manufacturer adds to this issue, my query was as follows: USB sandisk Cruzer Glide 16G write protect delete

Write Protection Error on USB Flash Drives

How do I fix a Write Protection error?

Write protection errors occur when a flash drive detects a potential fault within itself. The drive will go into write-protected mode to prevent data loss. There is no method to fix this. To verify the issue is related to the flash drive and not your computer we recommend that you try plugging the USB drive into another port on your computer. You should also try the drive on another computer if possible.

If the above steps have not solved the problem please back up...
