I have a hard drive that I need to convert to basic from dynamic so I can install Windows. I have a pesky OEM partition that I cannot delete so thus I have been unable to convert the disk. I have tried doing so with Windows and with Diskpart and neither were successful in deleting the OEM partition.

Is there any other way I can either delete the OEM part or convert the other partition to basic?

Update

The "CLEAN" command in diskpart was able to resolve my problem where "delete partition override" did not work. However all data and partitions are removed but the disk is now free to be made into a Basic volume.

Thanks everyone for commenting on my question!

You should be able to use the WD HDD utility.
Should be available from WD support page, or
Download UBCD as it has a whole slew of apps, one of them being the WD HD Utility.

look down and you will SEE
Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for DOS (Western Digital)
◦WRITE ZEROS TO DRIVE - The Write Zeros option, wipes all data off your drive. This option used when your data is no longer usable or recoverable. If you no longer need any data from your drive and would like to start over, run this option to set your drive to an as new condition. NOTE: Please make sure that you have selected the correct drive to perform this function on as once ran, no data will be recoverable.

NO ONE should be without UBCD

Thanks for the response, but have tried "delete partition override" and it fails. However, upon further searching and efforts I was able to "CLEAN" the disk and that has appeared to erase the OEM partition and from there I was able to do whatever I wanted the dynamic feature along with the OEM partition is gone.
