Hi!
I'm in the process of installing a new Windows 2003 SBS
DC on a small network (< 20 boxes). All user data,
accounts and so on will be moved/reinstalled manually, so
will the mail. That's not the problem! The problem is,
that i need to temporarily keep the old PDC (NT4 SBS)
online as a member server (using DEMOTE, I think). The
reason for this is the installation of a customer-
specific dentist-applikation. The guy who is performing
that operation need to access the old server through the
network.
I'm at loss, I'm afraid. Is there a way to do this, and
can someone provide me with ANY suggestion I would be very
grateful!
Yours
Tom

You cannot demote a NT4 machine without reinstalling from scratch. There is
a 3rd party tool called Upromote that can do this but I am not sure if it
works for SBS.
