Question How to detect upgraded GPU on a gaming Laptop

I have upgraded my 980M to 1070M yesterday but my windows is not recognizing it and couldn't find it even in Device Manager. and basically its using Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, even though everything is up to date. So i'm not sure if i didn't install it properly which i'm sure it is or there are some techniques to force it working?



Specs:

MSI GT72 Dominator Pro 2QE

Intel i7-4710HQ

32GB RAM

GTX980M (previous graphics card)

Windows 10

You have to download the drivers for your new graphics card and delete the old drivers.

i did and not working because the GPU is not being detected at all from my laptop
