We have an older Panasonic Viera flat panel. I believe it's a 44" model. We cannot find any information as to the model. Under "About" all it only shows the software version. The information found is:
TV - 0180 - 1410
Status 1 - 51005 - 10015
Status 2 - 00000 - 00000
HDAVIControl - 4

The unit is attached to a static wall mount and we would need remove two screws located half up the TV. We can use a remote from an ancient Plasma Panasonic but to doesn't show any model info, unlike our LG & Samsung units.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried using a mirror to see behind the TV? You are going to have to find the manufacturer's model number on the back.

We'd love to do that but the genius who mounted used a non-moving, screwed in place wall mount. And screws holding the unit to the mount require a special screwdriver that is long since gone.
