[SOLVED] How to disable "ad creeping" ?

Hello, I have noticed this recently, but sometimes when I am looking up items on the Internet, the ad walls display merchandise based on my search. I feel his is an invasion of privacy and would like to know how to keep my browsing more private. I know about incognito mode, but I know altering the cookies helps as well. I would like tips on that, thank you. I use a Macbook Pro; any specification you need to know, please ask.
