how to disable amd cool n quiet in windows xp pro 64 bit

hello i have amd cool n quiet disabled in my AMI bios but when i open CPUIDE in windows xp the cool n quiet is still adjusting my cpu based on how i use it its affecting my games i tried looking for the cool n quiet driver but i dont remember installing one how do i solve this my cpu is a dual core athlon 64 x2 6000+ upgrading to a quad core today

The driver may have automatically been installed. I remember this happening on my X3 8600. You can try uninstalling the CPU driver in device manager and adjusting your settings in power option if you want to keep the CPU running at full speed.
