How to disable cd volume.

I just bought a new headset, hyperX cloud 2, and I've noticed a hissing sound whenever another noise plays. I've trawled some threads and nothing seems to work then I came across a thread where someone said they disabled cd volume and this fixed the problem. I have no idea what this is. Could someone please explain?
