Get stuttering in some games, like Control, and someone suggested that I should disable hyper-threading. Is that correct, and how should I disable it properly (when only using the rig for games)?

In bios there is an option for Per Core Hyper-Threading, with cores from 0 to 7. Should I disable hyper-threading for all of them?

Can try disable HT for all cores or disable efficiency cores and see if it helps. Guessing i know which post you're referring to to disable HT from a post i seen at Control Steam discussions. Don't think it's that though. Looking at this more, i see a lot of posts mentioning about dx12 exploit protection. Seems to help some, others not so much.

Cool, tnx! Not sure how bios works on the Z790, but is it enough to just disable HT on all cores or must I also change anything else?

You might post your specs.

Probably not protective to second guess windows cpu management.

Windows 10/11 is well aware about which cores are performance cores with hyperthreading which are E cores and will not dispatch tasks to run on hyperthreads until there is a need.
