How to disable integrated graphics on a ASUS Z97 PRO BIOS

Thank you for the quick answer.
I can only start the computer/get into the BIOS with the graphics card uninstalled. If i set the primary graphics to PEG/PCI and then disable it in device manager. Would I then be able to shut down the computer, and then install my graphics card without it resetting?

You should be able to simply plug in the new graphics card, hook up the power and video to it, and boot. The BIOS will pick it up and switch to it automatically. If this does not work, there is something wrong with the new graphic card. I am not saying that it is bad yet, but there is a problem somewhere.

Thats what Im thinking, I might take a old crappy graphics card out of a pre-built computer and put it in this one (just to make sure the motherboard is alright).

Alright Ill try this, what if it does not work? Will the on-board graphics be enabled after I restart or will I never be able to get back into the computer only using the onboard graphics?
im sorry for the many questions.

It didnt work and I reset. 🙁
Also every time I change the primary display from "auto" > "PEG" or "PCIE" and then click "Save and reset". My BIOS resets back to auto. There is no way for me to change the primary display off of auto as it just resets back.

Same thing happens to me. Did you ever figure out the solution? Thanks

Did you ever figure it out? I'm having the same issue :L

Same issue here as well :/

Same issue. Anyone solve the problem?

Sadly I didn't find a solution in terms of changing the setting in the BIOS, but I just RMA my motherboard back and the issue was the specific PCIE slot was broken and didn't change from integrated to the installed GPU automatically. All I can recommend is to send back your motherboard or GPU after testing spare components on your motherboard.
