hello guys.i just received my new mobo yesterday which is e-spectrum g31 and i cant find the option to disable intel speed step and i want to disable it because my cpu runs at 1.47ghz instead of 2.20ghz which is my real cpu speed.plz help!
Speedstep is designed to save power(and heat)- especially important on a laptop. If you need the speed, the processor will speed up, but when it's idle it will slow down conserving power and heat, why would you want it running full speed all the time.
That's a option in the bios you have to go into there your cpu will run 2.2 ghz while under a load and idle at 1.47 ghz when not under a load the reason the speed step is on to keep your cpu cooler and costs down on the light bills otherwise it will run full speed all the time and may get hot. But you can turn this option off in the bios look for cpu options in the bios.

but when underload also it stays on 1.47ghz and when idle it throttles to 600mhz. it never reaches 2.20ghz.help!! and how to disable the intel speed step option

What processor is it? Also by what means are you measuring the CPU clock speed?

the processor is intel dual cpu e2200@2.20ghz and i measure it using cpu-z
