How to disable "open with" window.

Hello,
Every time I go to download something from the internet or want to open my browser or ANYTHING on my computer for that fact, a window pops up and its called "open with". I do not know how to turn this off, i can't run anything on my windows without it popping up and none of my files will just open alone on my desktop.Please advise!
