How To Do System Maintenance Check?

Hi,

I see these computer people who charge like £50 to £80 for a full PC system maintenance check and clean.

I was just wondering what do they do to the system and how do I perform a full system check my self?

How do I check if all of the hardware is fine and clean the PC etc?

Solution
Run disk cleanup on all drives. It may take a while to run it on C:, your main drive. Don't get impatient and stop it while it's running. It will take a while once it gets to the cleanup of Windows update components. You can periodically pass your mouse over the disk cleanup window though if it's been longer than twenty minutes, as I've seen the window stick open even though the operation is complete. Passing the mouse over the window seems to trigger it to close.

Next, empty out your Temp folder in C:/Windows using file explorer.

You can run malware and virus scans, but this doesn't actually do...

You can run malware and virus scans, but this doesn't actually do anything to clean up or tune the system and should really only be necessary as a routine preventative operation.

Run defragmentation/trim operations on all drives if they are not already set to do so automatically, or even if they are.

Normally, I recommend doing all of the following:
