I have a dell OptiPlex 960 mt currently running 8gb memory ram 2gb r7 250 radeon amd graphics card 1tb of hdd split in 2 of 500gb hdd windows 10 professional bios updated to a18 current cpu 2.83 ghz q9550 quad core 2 lga 775 socket t just bought a core 2 extreme qx9650 3.0 ghz lga 775 socket t after update to a18 from a04 still wont work dang it any info will be helpful

Not sure why you bothered, but I suspect that CPU draws too much current for that board and isn't supported. 95W vs 130W.
