How to downgrade from windows 8.1 to windows 7 (I don't have my windows 7 install disk anymore)

Hello,

I was wondering if there is any way I can re-download Windows 7 ultimate/professional x64 onto this computer. I've been using windows 8.1 for a little while now and it just causes performance issues within some of the games I play. I've looked around on google, I found some results without working download urls.

Please note that I don't have a windows 7 install disk in my grasp anymore. My dads friend used to have one but sold it to buy a windows 8 install disk, which I don't want.

microsoft has just put win 7 download links back up. you have to put in your win 7 key to get the iso but assuming you have that, then this is the answer to your question

I don't have the product key anymore. The install disk I had before was my dads friends, and he sold the disk to get windows 8. I did see that page but I dont have the product key.

To install Win 7 will require the install media (info already provided) and a legal license (the aforementioned product key). You will have to perform a full, clean install of Win 7 to replace Win 8.x. This means backing up your files and reinstalling your applications.

if you don't have a key anymore, then you will have to purchase a new one. they run about $90-100 and can be gotten just about anywhere pc parts are sold such as amazon, newegg and other places
