How to download disc from laptop player

Hello,
i, have a dell inspiron windows 7 with dvd/cd drive, how do I download a movie from the player to the laptop.

When you say "download" do you mean copy the movie that you are viewing? Do you want to do this with a DVD you own so you don't need the disc to watch the movie? You should be able to "rip" a DVD to your computer but to be legal you must own a copy of the DVD you "rip".
