I have purchased all the parts for my PC, But I am now thinking I should buy an SSD to boost windows time. How would I go about putting my windows 7 on the SSD, while having everything else on the PC on the HDD. What size SSD would I need to just put Windows on.

Solution
64 GB is big enough for Windows.
128 GB would also allow you to install important applications and store documents.
For everything else, as you install you can change the install path to D drive.
You will have to reload Windows on the new SSD.
Windows don't require much space, probably 30GB the most. The easiest way for most people to go about installing it, is by only connecting the SSD first and install it from there. After that, you only connect in the HDD. So you will not make mistakes by installing it onto the wrong drive.
