How to download videos from tv to computer

I am trying to play my home video 8mm MP 120 video through my flat screen TV and download it to my hard-drive. Is there a simple way to do this ? Do I Need to buy any type of special equipment, This is not an ongoing process needed, I've just found a bunch of old family videos (camcorder tapes) .

you need video capture card, either PCI (for desktop) or USB version. Do a google search.
