How to download Windows 8.1 with a usb stick

I have just finished building my custom PC. I bought a Windows 8.1 Pro key off the Microsoft store, but I don't have a download DVD disk I just the license key. I have a iMac (10.7.5) where I can setup the boot drive, but thats it. How do I make my usb stick a boot drive for Windows 8.1 pro?

download microsoft's bootable usb disk software that will do it for you in 4 simple steps. however it wasn't working for me last time i used it, and i could complete my install with rufus. there is also some program that is included in apple OS's but i don't know the exact name.
