How to Dual Monitor 144hz?

Solution

You would need to plug the monitors into either dvi port(both are dual link) and/or the displayport.

No point in 144hz for 2x 1080 monitors without a monster gfx setup.

For example...

2x1080 ~= 4.1m pixels
1x1440 ~=3.7m pixels

We can ROUGHLY compare the benchmarks of a 1440 to 2x 1080's with a little adjustment.

In BF4, as an example, 2x 780 Ti's in SLI will average ~91 fps ~ 1440. We can extrapolate this to ~80fps for 2x1080. WELL short of 144hz.

With 2x 780Ti's @ 2x1080 you can expect the following average FPS....
Arma 3: 69
Assassins Creed 4: 53
Grid 2: 129
Metro: 68
Thief: 75

And so on.
Unless you have 2 very good cards and drop the quality, you won't get anywhere near 144hz.

Im not gunna use the dual monitor for dual monitor gaming. I am using the dual monitor for streaming purposes. I will pretty much be streaming every time I game. Of course the 2nd ASUS 144hz is way over kill. But Its a cosmetic sacrifice. I want my shit to match and look sexy

I also understand some games I wont reach 144hz on Ultra. But If I lowered setting on some games I will. and even if im at 80 or 90fps won't my Montior go 80 or 90hz instead of 60? or is just simply 60hz or 144hz no inbetween??

The monitor will still be displaying whatever fps your gpu is rendering, up to 144 hz... G sync will just match the monitors hz to your FPS, eliminating screen tearing. It is not needed. Gsync is also not a feature that you simply "unlock"... It's hardware inside the monitor that makes it do what it does...

Screen tearing predominantly occurs when running the fps higher than the refresh rate not lower. I have the VG248QE and have no issues with screen tearing even when im only getting 40-50fps.
