So I have a gaming pc with the MSI GTX 760 in it and I was wondering how would I set up dual monitors. I was also thinking is it possible to run a game on my main monitor and have lets say chrome open on the second?

I do not want games to run on both monitors just to have a second one to keep me from tabbing out

Cheers

Just plug the second monitor in and extend the desktop to it. Very normal and common. You will have to use Alt-tab to get over to Chrome. I have 3 monitors hooked up to mine. One for the game, one for the music, and the third for Facebook/chat programs.

Connect the second monitor to the graphics card via an available port. In NVidia Control Panel, under the "Display" tree, you should see an option for "Set up multiple Monitors". In the top box, you should see all connected displays (with only your current display checked). Mark the check box next to the second display and click OK. I think it defaults to Extended Mode.

To use two monitors, simply connect a second monitor to one of the available connectors on the card.
Full screen games will run on the primary monitor and windows open on the second monitor will be left there.
To type in the open Windows, you still need at ALT-TAB out of full screen games.
