How to eject CD from laptop using command prompt

Hello,

I have a CD inside a friend's laptop but the problem is that his laptop windows was broken and needs to format and his CD rom doesn't have an eject button, but never less we can open the command prompt when booting. So is there someway to eject the CD from the cmd?

All or most CD/DVD drives have small pin size hole where you can insert a small where (extended paper clip) and push it in to open the cd/disk tray.

Unfortunately 'toshiba satellite e205' doesn't have a pin hole to eject the CD too >.<

I tried C:\>eject H: (and D , G , F) but they all give this result

'eject' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

I'll see what else I can find and post it later.

You could try opening the drive ouside the laptop... they can slide out when pressing a lock or removing a holding screw on the bottom.

Problem is solved, my friend is going to use ubuntu to eject the CD..
