How to empty everything in computer and re-install

My friend picked upa virus and wants to completely empty hard drives and re-install from discs. How does she go about this?

Boot of the Vista setup disk, it will give you the option to delete and re-create the partition before installation. Keep in mind this will wipe all user files, favorites, etc...
