I bought the PG248Q but I am only able to use 144hz atm. When I try to use the option "overclock monitor" to 180hz, it will direct me to the default windows waiting screen without all the shortcuts, mouse cursor, etc.. Only the default waiting screen with the Windows icon. How can I enable 180hz? Thanks

On ASUS homepage https://www.asus.com/Monitors/ROG-SWIFT-PG248Q/ is states:
"1920 x 1080 @ 180Hz only works with DP port. The HDMI port only supports 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz."
Are you using the DP port?

It also states:
"NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650Ti Boost and above graphics card can support 1920x 1080 up to 180Hz. Please contact the GPU manufacturers for detailed specification"
Have you checked with the manufacturer?

(I Googled the model number and found that you were asking about a monitor)
