If it doesn't have an ethernet output port how can it be a modem? Tell TWC you want a different model that supports ethernet output or buy your own cable modem.

Does your modem have more than one ethernet port? If so it is probably a gateway. The model number would be helpful, but the best advice is to call TWC technical support. They will know more about it and can help you setup your access according to the terms of service.
