Question How to enable freesync on HP 27f?

Bought a new HP 27f monitor today and the box advertises freesync. After downloading drivers for the monitor + GPU, the freesync option still says that it isn't supported in the Radeon software. I checked AMD's website and the monitor is supported, so I am unsure what the issue is. Connected via hdmi. Edit: was able to enable freesync in the monitor menu, but the Radeon software still says it isn't supported. So is it enabled or not?
